Oktoberfest, Family Fall Festival

Event Schedule

Oktoberfest DJ will be on from Noon–4pm. Activities and games.

• Oktoberfest Royalty Prizes: Dust off those Dirndls and Lederhosen for Oktoberfest’s best dressed German Costume Competition. The crowd will choose their favorite Oktoberfest King and Queen. 

​

• Chicken Dance-Off: Get ready to shake those tail feathers and compete for this year’s Chicken Dance CHAMPION. Original moves are welcome and the crowd will pick the winners.

​

• Wiener Toss Contest: Teams of two will toss a sausage back and forth and compete to see how far away from each other they can successfully toss the wiener without letting it touch the ground and keeping it in tact. Hot dog!

​

• Oktoberfest Trivia: Big brain time! How well do you know Germany and the origins of Oktoberfest? How familiar are you with german traditions and german phrases? This interactive crowd trivia will be fun for the entire family.

​

The Bavarian Beergarden Band will perform 4pm–8pm. Activities and games

​

• Stein-holding Competition (Men & Women divisions): Flex those beer muscles by seeing who can hold a beer stein (full of water) out in front of them the longest.

​

• Musical Hut Spiel: It’s like a game of musical chairs, but instead with hats. When the music stops everyone grabs a hat (Hut) and the person without a hat is out. 

​

• Schnitzelbank: A short rhyming verse or song with humorous content. Each verse in a Schnitzelbank introduces a topic and ends with a comedic twist.

When entering the Carlsbad Strawberry Field be sure to mention Oktoberfest to receive the discounted $5 entry fee. Entry to the Carlsbad Strawberry Company's Pumpkin Patch, not included in ticket prices. Must be paid at the entrance to the event. Children 5 and under are free.

Please note: Beer Garden attendee's must be over the age of 21 to consume alcohol. 

Under 21 can enter the beer garden with an adult.

• It's hard to keep all these tasty brews in stock for the entire afternoon, so come early to avoid missing out.

• Selections may be limited at times.

• There are no refunds for unused tickets.

• If we are out of your favorite beer, it's most likely because one of your beer buddies drank it!

There is plenty of free parking, here are some options to consider:

• Carpool with beer buddies. Make sure one person is your designated driver 

• We are bike-friendly, with plenty of room to lock your bike up
